Natalie Preddie is an award-winning travel journalist and on-air personality whose work explores the intersection of culture, history, and meaningful connection through travel. With bylines in leading global publications including National Geographic, The Washington Post, Travel + Leisure, The Globe & Mail, and the Toronto Star, she is known for telling nuanced stories that centre Black experiences around the world.
With over 15 years in the travel industry, Natalie has built strong relationships with tourism boards, airlines, and global travel brands, bringing both editorial depth and industry insight to her work. She is the host of Get Lost with Natalie Preddie and the travel expert on Canada’s Breakfast Television, where she shares trends, insights, and culturally rich storytelling with a national audience.
Natalie is also a co-author of Dance Adventures (2020) and Lonely Planet: Epic Runs (2024), further expanding her storytelling across platforms.
Her work has been recognized with numerous accolades, including Best Cultural/Historical Story (Honourable Mention) from the Travel Media Association of Canada (2022), Best International Travel Story (1st Place) from the Society of American Travel Writers (2023), and Female Travel Creator of the Year (2025). She has also been named a Top Caribbean Women to Watch (2026 nominee) by CaribBiz and is a Women Empowerment Award: Global Impact & Entrepreneur BIPOC Grant nominee (2026).
Through all of her work, Natalie is committed to amplifying underrepresented voices, celebrating the richness of Black culture, and encouraging more intentional, respectful travel. Her storytelling invites audiences to go beyond the surface and engage more deeply with the people and places that shape our world.

Tristan Barrocks is Co-Founder of Mid-Career Productions Inc., an internationally recognized, award- winning Jamaican-Canadian commercial and film director in Toronto. The writer, producer, and director focuses on telling human- centred stories. He's been featured on platforms like Henrys Canada, Glossy Inc., and Medium.
His film ‘Dear Black Dad,’ released digitally, has garnered critical acclaim for its authenticity and truth. Wallflower (Webseries 2023), Connecting the Dots (Docuseries 2019), A Letter To The Fathers (Short Film 2024) and Mother To Mother (Special 2022) are note- worth instalments to Tristan's directorial catalogue.
His latest short film is the acclaimed 'Sugar Dumplin' (2025) has won Best Short Film at the Windrush Caribbean Film Festival and CT International Film Festival, Best Story at Black River Film Festival and Outstanding Narrative at Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival. ‘Sugar Dumplin’ is now part of American Airlines AABFF on board entertainment.

Natanya Barrocks is the Producer, Co-founder and Chief People Officer of Mid-Career Productions. She oversees business strategy, project management, and the operations of our most important asset: Our People.
In 2022, Natanya co-produced her first short film, Mother to Mother, offering an intimate perspective on motherhood through the stories of six diverse mother figures. Most recently, Natanya was the Associate Producer on a web series called “Wallflower,” which had its world premiere at the 2023 International American Black Film Festival and is scheduled to be streamed in fall 2023.
